People sometimes ask me if I get lonely when I travel alone. The answer is no!

Traveling solo is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life. It gives me time to relax, recharge, reflect on my life, and pursue my own interests. And it helps me develop my own sense of identity and independence.

Being alone without being lonely means being comfortable in your own company and not feeling the need to be around other people all the time. It’s being content with your own thoughts and activities and not feeling like you're missing out on anything by being by yourself.

Of course, there are times when it's good to be around other people. Human connection and social interactions are necessary for our overall well-being. When I take solo trips, I meet people in airports, talk to people in restaurants and make connections with people on tours. But I treasure those moments when it’s just me wandering around on my own. It's perfectly possible and healthy to be happy and content on your own. Embrace solitude.
